October 13 - 14, 2021: Today, clients from Bank AL-Habib Ltd, Informa (UK), CBS and Megaplus Pakistan has attended a two day online workshop on “TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Framework” that was conducted online by TLC in Karachi.

The key focus was based on how Enterprise Architecture (EA) is considered as a solution to reduce IT implementation failure, improve profitability and enhance business-IT alignment within organizations and how EA can help organizations in meeting their vision, mission statement, goals and obtain targeted ROI. Listening and resolving stakeholders concerns and issues is considered as an important factors towards the success of an EA project and a great enabler towards removing barriers between different LOB’s was also discussed. Last, a strategy was discussed that help organizations in eliminating an old aged barrier between technology leadership and business users disagreement on supporting the adoption of EA with the core reasons why majority of the EA projects are failed.

July 15, 2021: Today, a large group from Bank AL-Habib Limited has attended a two-day online workshop on “Decision Making and Business Analytics in Practice” that was conducted by TLC in Karachi.

Participants were introduced with types of decision-making models and their overall impact including decision-making methodologies using a wide spectrum of business analytical tools and analytical lifecycle, how organizations can improve overall efficiency of their business processes by taking emotions out of decision-making and how let data do the talking was discussed. How integration of business intelligence and business analytics can go hands in hands was also discussed. A special focus was made on presenting a model based on big data and analytics platform including business analytics use cases practiced in banking and FSS industry sectors. 

IoT has the potential to impact traditional business processes in banking. Eight use-cases based on IoT adoption were discussed including Account Management on Things, Leasing Finance Automation, Smart Collaterals, Automated Payment through Things, Risk Mitigation in Trade Finance, Wallet of Things, Frictionless Customer Onboarding and KYC, and IoT Enabled Smart Payment Contracts were discussed.

May 4, 2021: As a part of our educatoin and training services program, today we have announced a new course "Cloud Computing Security Reference Architecture Framework". 

This course provides an overview of the benefits of cloud computing and how various types of business applications and services can be used in a cloud network scenario. It aims to provide the learner with a good
knowledge base of cloud computing concepts and the related enabling technologies. It outlines the pros and cons of cloud computing, the different cloud service models provided, cloud security aspects to consider, and the options for moving your services into the cloud. Other key concepts covered include cloud data storage solutions, Service Oriented Architecture and the cloud, and identity and access management services. 

Transitioning to the cloud is one of the most significant technology shifts your company will face. Last year in 2020, over 80% of organizations operating in the cloud experienced at least one compromised account each
month, stemming from external actors, malicious insiders, or unintentional mistakes. 

The specifics of cloud security activities may vary depending on your cloud platforms and use cases, however, there are some best practices that every organization should follow. Zero Trust Architecture is an alternative security model that addresses the fundamental flaw of traditional strategies—that data only needs to be protected from outside of an organization. The Zero Trust model views data security through a new lens, enabling parameters that dictate access and restrictions. In Zero Trust, you identify a “protect surface”.  The protect surface is made up of the network’s most critical and valuable Data, Assets, Applications and Services – DAAS, for short.

In this session participants were taught about the ZT Architecture Framework, Identity Management principles, ZT Model and implementation methodology, approach to ZT governance including use cases and recommendations for starting a ZT journey and possible threats to ZT architecture were discussed.

March 31, 2020: Today, TLC has announced a three day comprehensive workshop on "CISSP Exam Preparation Workshop".

The CISSP training course provides delegates with a theory-based approach to learning the security process. The course is centered around teaching the fundamental domains of Information Security. These eight domains provide delegates with all the information they require to obtain a comprehensive understanding of Information Security and pass the CISSP exam. Despite being a theory-based course, the CISSP certification trains  individuals to practically apply what they have learnt. This CISSP course gives delegates skills which are desirable in any company, and so this qualification can help individuals stand out in a competitive market. 

This workshop is designed for this purpose, as well as to provide the insight into the importance of cybersecurity risk management framework covering 8 comprehensive security domains. 

For becoming a CISSP certified, you must have a minimum of five-year cumulative paid work experience in two or more of the eight domains of the CISSP.
