Professional Profile
Adnan Ikram is a professional engineer
and holds a bachelor degree in Electronic engineering from NED University,
Karachi. Pakistan. Adnan is also a TOGAF 9 Certified and IBM Infrastructure
Systems Architect. Adnan’s overall job experience is spread over 27 years
of professional services and management in the field of Information Technology.
Before rejoining TLC he has worked
with IBM Pakistan as Client Technical Architect (Banking and FSS) and prior
to IBM was a part of Fujitsu where he served as an Enterprise Business
Development Manager for Pakistan. He joined TLC earlier between 2010 to
2012 as Director Professional Services. Before TLC, he has worked for Si3
one of the largest systems integrators in Pakistan as Chief Operating Officer
and VP Infrastructure Services. Prior to Si3, he was a part of IBM Pakistan
and Pakistan ICL for nine and five years respectively.
His main area of expertise is in
building technology roadmaps in the area of Infrastructure tecchnologies,
ITIL, Enterprise Architecture, Data Centers and Big Data & Analytics
and Cloud Computing. His specialities also includes IBM POWER architecture,
IBM POWER entry - enterprise server brand portfolio running IBM AIX operating
system, PRIMERGY Rack and Blade Centers and IBM/NetApp/Fujitsu ETERNUS
storage, data replication technologies. One of his main areas of interest
is built on studying and offering solutions based on High Availability
subsystem and Site Disaster Recovery. He has also provided consulting services
to several organizations in Pakistan in the area of Disaster Backup Recovery,
Systems Securities, AIX Systems Health Check and Optimizations, System
Performance Monitoring & Management, IBM presales server and storage
sizing & application benchmarking, Building IT strategies and IT policies,
and Solution design based on cross brand technologies offered by IBM Dynamic
Infrastructure primarily Business Resilience, System Consolidation and
Virtualization, and Cloud Computing.
Adnan’s contribution to IT R&D
is significant; he was a part of IBM’s international research teams and
contributed in 10 IBM Redbooks. He is a passionate presenter and instructor
and has been involved in conducting IBM AIX education and training courses
both locally and internationally (GBM and BBM) from Users level to Advanced
level for IBM and Si3 customers.
IBM AIX Operating System
Our instructor is associated in
imparting UNIX training since 1991. He is a passionate instructor and has
conducted various UNIX courses based on AT&T SVR4, SCO UNIX, and IBM
AIX locally and internationally for IBM customers from user’s level to
advanced level in various IBM Education Centers.
